After they have learned about the country they will receive a visa to put in their passport (these are only pretend). So make sure they are here every Friday so that they can collect all 30 visas by the end of the year. They will also have to write a report and give a presentation (usually to a lower grade) at the end of the year on the country they were assigned.
ABOUT MR. SAMUELS
I have been married for 11 years to my wife Nicole and have a 9 year old son named Bobby, who will be starting 4th grade this year. I also have a cat named Owl. In my free time I love to work in the yard, draw, watch movies and listen to music. I also love spending time "Up North" Traverse City area. (The ocean has nothing on Lake Michigan) As far as school goes, my favorite subject was always History, but I always struggled with speling, oops, I mean spelling. I can't wait to learn about you and share more about me this year, as we learn a whole bunch of new stuff!
SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUBS
We ended up earning over 6,000 points from the September book order. We have spent a majority of the points and so far have earned 80 free books for our classroom. (see below) Once I have them leveled and protected with contact paper they will be in our classroom library. The kids are so excited. Thank you for supporting our classroom library and you child's education! January's Book Order will offer the same opportunity to build our classroom library. (2014/15)
Orders are due by Friday, October 25, 2016.
Please make checks payable to Scholastic Book Clubs, or click Book Clubs link above and create an account then enter our classroom code H94Z2 to use a credit card.
Thank you for all of your support!
